Waterford Connecticut- Cops: Suspects Stuffed Switch Controllers In Their Pants | Patch

WATERFORD, CT — Using a “key” to unlock security devices, police say two men stuffed Nintendo Switch game controllers in their pants and walked out of Best Buy with the loot.

Also called a spider wrap, the Alpha security devices wraps around a product and sometimes contain an alarm. Police said the suspects used an “alpha key” to unlock the devices from the pricey electronics.

Police said Wednesday afternoon, the men went into the Waterford electronics store, “selected seven Nintendo Switch controllers,” and concealed put the controllers down their pants and then walked out. Police said the value of the devices was around $500.
