Parent tells New London Police her daughter at Bennie Dover Jackson middle school was assaulted twice, both recorded, but the school has taken “no action.”
The mother of a 13-year-old Bennie Dover Jackson Multi-Magnet Middle School 8th grade student, seen on video being assaulted by another student, said that her daughter was also attacked again the next day and, has since been harassed and threatened.
And, Adriana Davis said that Monday, she and her daughter were threatened by the same student with a baseball bat and that she’d called police. Davis said that the school, and the district, have not done enough to protect her daughter.
New London Public Schools officials failed respond to United FM requests for any poor excuses they might have for their failure to correct this problem.
The first time her daughter was assaulted, Davis said, was Sept. 15. She described the attack as her child being “grabbed her from behind by her hair, and ripped her hair out of her head” as the other student was attacking to “get her on the ground while violently punching her in the head.”
There is a video that clearly depicts the incident as stated by the mother. A police report was filed and the next day the daughter was again violently attacked from behind, sprayed with deodorant and then slapped in the face. All this again caught on video.
According to school policy the police are to be called if a assault occurs, according to sources the police where never called for this incident or any other assaults that have occurred on school grounds.
